Therapy Update August 2008
Garrett is attending a local preschool and LOVING IT!!! His teacher is an angel on earth and lost a niece to Muscular Dystrophy. She has a very soft spot in her heart for Garrett and loves him dearly. He loves her just as much!!!
As for therapy, he now does 1 hour of private PT and 1 hour of private Speech Therapy once per week. The local public school system provides two half-hour sessions of Speech and Special Instruction (special education teacher) weekly, and they work with him at the preschool. Monthly he receives one hour each of PT, OT and Adaptive Physical Education. He is just beginning to meet his new therapists and get in a routine with them.
