We had a great day with therapy, swim team practice, a grocery run, a good nap and fun with friends tonight. I am posting photos from our evening swim with our dear friends. Garrett is playing with his buddy, Barett, who is also had a form of Muscular Dystrophy. His mom and I get a bit tickled as Barett and Garrett are both a bit unstable on their feet, yet will use each other to lean on when they feel like they need to. We wonder when they will figure out that neither can really help the other too much!! I know, a little twisted, but still fun to watch! Barett's family has lived here almost a year, and we met at the YMCA and realized that our families are so similar right off the bat with kids the same genders at the same ages....THEN Barett's diagnosis, so we have our beautiful "Dystrophy Boys" as I call them, and it is a very rich blessing to have a girlfriend I can talk to who understands the uncertainties, the good days, the down times, and just be there to listen and not necessarily try to make it all better. Thank you, Kim!!! Hope these boys' little faces make your day like they make my life!!

Planning to go to the water park in the morning with all three kiddos by myself!!!!!!! A bit nutty, but then it's summer, it's hot, and it's fun!! Love to each of you and have a wonderful 4th of July!!!!

The morning started off in a hurry with Aunt Becca coming over to play with Garrett who made 6 HUGE, STINK diapers to show his appreciation! I took Addie and Ainslee to their last swim meet of the year. They both did great!!! It was not over 90 degrees, and there was cloud cover, so it was more pleasant than the other meets outdoors. Then it was home from naps and then to Cousin Colton's birthday party. All three of our kiddos played so hard that they fell into their beds shortly after we came home. It was nice to catch up with our relatives and have all of the cousins together. Tonight is laundry, dishes, plan for Sunday School and VBS night. I will post a photo or two of the girls from a previous swim meet. Love to all of you!

This is Ainslee at her very first swim meet last month. She has had so much fun with her friends at the meet playing and chatting and EATING.....the swimming part is just bonus!!!

We have arrived! I hope this is a fun place for you to come to peep into our daily world. I am doing this mainly for family members who live away, but if you have found us by other means, welcome just the same!

It's almost 11 pm and I am up late, as usual, catching up on things I have promised I would save until the family is asleep. I seemed to get sidetracked into some mysterious, forgetful, parallel world if I sit in front of the computer during the "regualr" day!

We had a fun day today. Oscar took Garrett to his parents' farm for the morning, and I took Addie and Ainslee to the local water park. WE HAD A BLAST!!!! We hired a babysitter and had a date night, just us adults, and enjoyed steaks at Outback followed by browsing the local outlet mall. Picked up a few clothes for Garrett, but that was it.

Heading to bed as we have a swim meet early in the morning. The girls both compete, and they LOVE hanging out in the team area with their friends between the events, oh, and the SNOWBALLS are a big hit, too!!! BIRTHDAY CAKE FLAVOR, MOM!!!
