We just finished our school year this past week, and now we are into swim team, weekend rodeos and horse shows with Addie and Ainslee, and just lots and lots of fun looking forward to cheerleading camp next week, art classes, Vacation Bible School, and who knows...oh, the local water park will be on the schedule somehow, I am sure, too!! Oh, forgot piano lessons, Tae Kwon Do, and who knows what else??? Mom and Dad, hope this brings a smile to you seeing the kids while you guys are in Wyoming for the summer. I am soooooo jealous!!! Enjoy the beautiful scenes and wonderful weather for me!

One beautiful weekend, Daddy-O needed help painting a trailer, so he asked the girls, and of COURSE they were thrilled. Problem was that it was AFTER the parent-approved and photographed paint fight that Daddy-O and I realized that it was OIL BASE PAINT!!!

No, we didn't get another pet, but Sniper, our friends' puppy, came over to meet us, and Diamond, Ainslee's cat,
 had to check him out.

Three wise guys! This is Clara-Leigh's father (Pop), and his father, Granddaddy Horn, also known to our children as Greenbean.

Addie's First Piano Recital

Picture
This was send-off day for Addie's first year attending Camp Sunshine, MDA's summer camp in Louisiana. This is a photo of Addie and Ainslee with Addie's counselor, Danielle, and me. Danielle was a DOLL, and it was her first year to volunteer with Camp Sunshine as well. Addie had a wonderful time, and while there was no homesickness, today, after returning from her 6 days at camp, she wept some, as she is campsick!! What a beautiful experience for her!!

Picture
Ainslee's recital piece was MY HAMPSTER, and she did a wonderful job, singing the words of the song to herself the whole time!! You can see her mouth opening to the words in this photo. Neither of the girls had trouble getting up in front of people to play. We are so proud of them and will be ordering a piano this week!!

This photo is what I believe to be, thus far in Addie's 8 years, the BEST MOMENT YET!!! At MDA Camp Sunshine, the Baton Rouge kids were the LSU Tigers, and the New Orleans kids were the Saints, and there was a big football game complete with a beautifully measured and decorated field, an announcer and even halftime entertainment. This is Addie during halftime being the top of a stunt with some counselors. She was BEAMING!!!! I cried!!

Nina, this is a shot so you can see what Jolie and Rebecca are looking like these days. The other hot gal, besides me, not, is Jodi, who worked at the Y and was a friend of ours, then moved to Houston. She was here this past weekend for Vivian's funeral. It was a sad weekend, but a blessing to catch up with a dear friend.

Ainslee and Garrett enjoyed some special time together this week while Addie was at camp. He is warming up to the water again, and he will soon begin ISR swim class where hopefully, he will learn to get to the top of the water and floar on his back a few minutes, giving us time to find him, should he end up in any one of the pools or ponds in our lives here in Louisiana.

Ainslee is enjoying the pool as it is finally warm enough to use. She loves the water, and both Ainslee and Addie are on the dauphin swim team again this summer. Our first meet of this season is in less than a week!
